Learned windsurf at the age of 12 on a Windsurfer on the beautiful French Rivera.
This sport has been life-long passion even though I haven't been sailing in 15 years. But I'm back and intend to have some fun on the water again. Now Lake Michigan and Lake Winebago is my playground.
I still own a 1984 Local Motion 290x58cm custom in great shape. This was for sure my favorite toy when I was in my twenties!
Ha ha, the wifi issues! Man, they are so jealous of our hobbies that will do whatever they can to get even. Consider yourself lucky if it's just spending she'll punish you with. About the mast: I'm using currently a Ka Sails mast leftover from my 5.8 Ka sail. Its a bit softish for a Revo so Im planing to replace it with a Sumo sometime this season.
And last but not least-congratulations on your new board! It will be challenging but rewarding and will keep windsurfing exciting for you .
Yeah, I saw the images in Reid's post. Nice! I wouldn't be able to go out in such cold weather though, so hats-off for that! How do you plan on carrying all that gear? Minivan? Truck?
Other topic: What mast do you use with your 5.7 Revo?
I have to confess: I bought the first-arrived 2017 Naish 100l Starship! Delivery is Friday! My wife wants to compete with my recent windsurf spending spree... not good
You are welcome Greg! I may start experimenting this season with the idea of 3 boards and 6 sails -2 sails assigned to every board . In my case 110 to 7.5 and 6.5; 94 to 5.7 and 5.2 and 86 to 4.6 and 4.2 . Ill see how it goes from here and if something needs to change.
