Thinking I'll go to Clinton tomorrow around 11. Anyone else thinking about it?

I vote for speed sailing in front of the dam at the West Side launch. See if I can keep up with ya. Wind should be S-SSE in the 6.9 range maybe 5.8-able late afternoon.

West side sounds good to me! I had fun over there a few weeks ago!

Fun day at West Side. Got out there around 11:00. Sailed my 6.9 with Mike and Rich. Started to get over powered on it around 2:00. A little rain cloud moved over and made us think that rigging down was not a good idea. 1/2 hour later the cloud moved on and I went out on my 5.8. I was pretty lit on it. We all left around 5:00.

Awesome! Reid /aka the Smooth Operator/ jibing like a pro as usual. Glad to see Rich all fixed up and having a blast . Ahh, feeling nostalgic already.
Rich, I recall new sails may need to have their battens retightend after the initial break in period. Have you checked them after the first few sessions?

Ady, I had them a little too tight but can see that I backed them off a bit too much. Reid's pictures help me so much to see what's happening on the water that I can't see/feel. Speaking of pictures, Reid, that vid cap sequence of your duck jibe in the album is awesome! The sun lighting up the trough you're putting down is so cool!!

I’ve always marvelled at how smooth those throughs look behind Reid’s board! Rich only make sure you remove any little wrinkles along the whole lenght of the battens when the sail is at rest on the ground. If there are none then you are fine and there is no need to retighten any more. The pictures of the sail in action can be misleading. I saw this picture of one of your sails on the ground and it looked like there are wrinkles, but I might be wrong aswell.

Rich, when I was there you were plaining well and seemed to be dialed in.
