I'm watching it. Looking at Montrose. Thinking I'll be on 6.9 sail. Haven't committed yet.

Anybody else looking at it? Add your 2 cents on wind and other spots

Looks like early morning at Rainbow beach for waves or the newly reopened park at the end of 87th st for flat water by the Calumet wall...
The 87 st park is very close to wall now, but the access to water is over sharp rocks...

Thx for the update on 87th, richipera. I'll add it along with the other spots.

I'm going to hit Montrose early morning. Hopefully might be able to 5.8 the morning wind.

Who said 6.9 possibly 5.8 ? I got to Montrose Beach around 9:30. Just about everybody was sailing something that started with a 4, and with home court advantage. This is the photo day for Montrose I have been wanting for a while. And I went for it. And the bros put on a show. By the time I got rigged I was chasing the fade. Rigged 4.7. Got a couple of runs. Faded. Rigged 5.8. Got a couple runs. Faded. But, I got the shots and had a whole lot of fun. The water at Montrose is warm and felt warmer than the air temp. 62 - 64 degree water. Always nice to see everybody. And got to put some faces to some names, and meet new folks. We're all going to have to do this again and rip our way up the Michigan side. Call'em like you see'em. Click reply and share some stoke on the day.

Well, I ended up in my dear 63rd beach. So close and so forgiving. 5.5 and 117lt and I sailed for about 3 solid hours.

What an Awesome day! We sailed from 7-4. I was on my new 5.0 Ezzy Tiger most of the time and my 5.5 Ezzy Freeride the rest. Thanks for taking all the great photos Reid.

Wow! The Calumet Speed Ditch! Who holds the GPS Calumet speed record?

That's got a West Kirby UK look about it with the wall.

Great day! Thanks for the pictures. It's nice to see how the water looked like from the beach. It looked awesome from my board:)
