UOverwhelming choice this week it seems! I think about going to Casino for some waveriding tomorrow. I have not had a good beating for a while and it's time to catch up-another cracked rib or several would be good  Naah, I'll make sure I have my vest on.
I was pathetic the last time, wrong board choice for the conditions apparently:

Ady- Come join us at Greenwood this week. Lots of sailors will be out . I think NE at casino is too onshore, making getting through the surf too difficult, and you''l get closed out quickly if we have the sustained wind we are expecting. Greenwood is IMO the best bet for NE, and still works well if wind shifts a little N

Thanks for the invite Alan, I'll sleep over it.
I've been at Casino only 3 times before the swim season and the 2 of them were very good-one on the Kode and one on the Windsup. I really like the place and to a great extent its solitude too and I think if you go to the same spot over and over again you get to know it and you get better at kit choice, strategy, style etc etc.
Just in time to get us all psyched up PH posted a video of a nice wave riding sesh /from Ireland I believe/:

It was miserable at Casino straight onshore and the wind dropped to something like 15-20 and I couldn't get thru the break at all with the Kode and a 4.6 .I was expecting up to 30 and the buoy was showing N direction, but when I checked with my phones compass it was 20-30 degrees to E-go figure. Anyway, I picked up my staff after an hour or so of struggle and drove to the Wall in my wetsuit. Had some nice blasting with the Kode and a 5.8 and the day was saved!

Sat looks like a good day to check Rainbow. If it doesn't work the Wall would be the logical alternative .

I was thinking Montrose but I haven't tried Rainbow in a long time. All I've got is a 6.5 so I might get blown off the water. Either way I'll be out there for a while this afternoon.

Which place is the "Wall"?

I can see how that protection would be welcome. Probably a better choice than trying to get past the Montrose break.
